#AdvocacyMatters: Election Resources Round Up
March 15, 2024 / #AdvocacyMatters
Sometimes election day can feel like boating on rough waters, but we want your voting experience to be nothing but smooth sailing. In today’s increasingly fast-paced world, planning your vote should be simple and effective. Today we want to share some election resources to round up everything you need, all in one place.
Ohio’s primary election is happening next week – Tuesday, March 19th – in just four days! We don’t want you to forget that Ohio’s ID laws changed in 2023, so it’s a good idea to check in on your voter identification. To vote early (until March 17th) and on Election Day, you will need an acceptable form of ID, which you can find more information about here: New Voter ID Rules (disabilityrightsohio.org).
While the Absentee Application deadline has passed for this upcoming primary, those who are voting mail-in can do so until the day before Election Day, March 18th. Make sure that your absentee ballot is postmarked by Monday, March 18th to be fully heard. You can learn more about voting absentee here: Voting Absentee.
Lastly, we hope you’ll come out on Election Day – March 19th – if any of the above options weren’t a part of your voting plan. Polls open at 6:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. As with any plan, things can go wrong, and we hope you’ll reach out to our Voter Hotline at 614-466-7264 or 800-282-9181 if you have any issues with accessing your right to vote.
The journey to election day should not feel like a wild ride. If things get bumpy, we are here to help! For the full list of election resources that may not be included in this roundup, check out our vote page at disabilityrightsohio.org/vote. #AdvocacyMatters
