The purpose of this policy is to notify visitors to Disability Rights Ohio’s website how their information may be used. Disability Rights Ohio is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website.

Disability Rights Ohio collects information to generate statistical analyses about how visitors use the Disability Rights Ohio website and about ways Disability Rights Ohio can improve the website for the benefit of all visitors. Some of this information is also reported to grant funders. The information collected includes the number and times of visits, pages viewed, paths followed through the website, files downloaded, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer and addresses of Web sites from which visitors linked to the Disability Rights Ohio website. The website uses session cookies, which are temporary cookies that exist while the user navigates the website.
Disability Rights Ohio also offers an Intake form on its website where visitors can request assistance from Disability Rights Ohio. Information requested on the Intake form includes personal identifiers such as name, address, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail addresses, and a description of the issue for which the person wants assistance. This information is stored temporarily on the website’s database and is deleted once the information is retrieved by Disability Rights Ohio staff and put into our internal case management system. Only Disability Rights Ohio staff and its contracted website vendor have access to the information provided through our web Intake form. Information about a request for assistance that is received by Disability Rights Ohio or a request for Disability Rights Ohio advocacy is confidential as between attorney and client.
