#AdvocacyMatters: Envisioning Equity

As we race towards the end of another year, we’re pausing to reflect and focus on the core of our mission: Envisioning Equity. Equity is the common thread that connects all the different things we do; from investigating abuse and neglect to supporting students receiving educational supports and working to elevate the voices of Ohioans with disabilities in civil participation. Each of these steps move us closer to our ultimate goal of a truly equitable Ohio.

Over the next several weeks we want to hear directly from you, our supporters and allies, sharing with us what equity means to you. There will be multiple opportunities to engage with us across all our social media channels. You can also tag us (Facebook @DisabilityRightsOhio, Twitter @DisabilityRtsOH) in a post or comment about equity, our community, and the work DRO does all across our state.

Your replies, posts, and comments will help us tell our story… the story of equity throughout our work. As the year wraps up, we’re hoping to springboard into 2024 with the resources necessary to expand our reach and grow our work all across Ohio.
