#AdvocacyMatters: Rooted in the Real
June 16, 2023 / #AdvocacyMatters
Our work is rooted in the real, lived experiences of disabled Ohioans across the state and throughout the communities we serve. Only through meaningful feedback and deep understanding can we begin to best address the needs of Ohioans with disabilities.
Yesterday we launched our 2024 Goals & Objectives Survey, collecting the experiences, stories, and perspectives that will inform, improve, and shape our work in the new year. This survey covers a broad range of topics, including home and community-based services (HCBS), education, voting rights, and just about everything in between.
We truly value every perspective across our communities, which is why we’re aiming to make our goal-setting process as accessible as possible. Surveys are available in English, Spanish, and Nepali, and can be completed online, via accessible and fillable PDFs, and by mailed paper copy.
We know that access needs are vast and ever-changing, so we’ve set our expectations to match. As always, DRO is committed to ensuring that every Ohioan has the tools they need to participate.
