Preference given to people with disabilities and their families at remaining DD family focus groups
October 16, 2014 / developmental disabilities
In October, Disability Rights Ohio (DRO) and The Arc of Ohio are traveling the state to hear concerns over DRO's proposed changes to the system for people with developmental disabilities. Turnout has been impressive at the events in Dayton, Canton and Cleveland, and similar crowds are expected at the upcoming events in Columbus, Toledo, Cincinnati and Marietta. Unfortunately, the rooms where the events are scheduled can only hold a limited number of people, according to fire code. Therefore, if the number of people in attendance is larger than the number of people the room can legally hold, preference will be given to individuals with disabilities and their families.
Individuals who cannot attend one of the remaining events or who are turned away because the room is full are encouraged to call us at 614-466-7264 or 800-282-9181 (TTY 614-728-2553 or 800-858-3542), and select option 2 for intake.
