Support the International Disability Rights Treaty
December 18, 2012 / disability rights
The U.S. Senate will soon hold a vote to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Over 140 other countries have already ratified this treaty. The CRPD is important to the disability community, and U.S. Senate ratification of the treaty will help raise accessibility awareness around the world, directly helping Americans with disabilities who live, work, or travel abroad.
Now is the time to contact your U.S. Senator to educate and inform them of your support for passage of the CRPD.
