#AdvocacyMatters- Forward: Together
October 29, 2021 / #AdvocacyMatters
As our world struggled amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, our work continued. Beyond just getting through, we pushed forward.
Last year, we worked diligently to empower Ohioans with disabilities to rise up and advocate for their rights. Job loss, care rationing, and service disruptions hit people with disabilities especially hard, leading to one of our most challenging years yet. In the last year alone, DRO has helped thousands of Ohioans with disabilities, established dynamic partnerships, and made significant headway on systemic inequities. Working alongside our clients and partners, we accomplished astonishing feats. From the formation of the Ohio HCBS Coalition to the investigation of the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center, we rose up to meet the needs of the moment. Now, we need your help.
Donations—specifically contributions from individuals like you—fuel DRO’s independence. This funding allows us to jump into work that’s otherwise out of reach. Your donation can give the crucial gift of advocacy, and we’ll need your help to fund our future.
We’ve set a goal of $23,000, and there’s never been more momentum to reach it than now. Will you donate a meaningful gift today and help us move forward: together? Whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, each gift helps ensure our fierce, independent advocacy for Ohioans with disabilities.
Today, we’ll celebrate the many wins of this past year, remembering how much our collective #AdvocacyMatters. Tomorrow, we’ll set off on a new journey, one energized by passion and sustained by resolve. Are you in?
Let’s move Forward: Together.
